How are you feeling? In recent conversations, I have learned that many people are feeling concerned about the state of the world and the behaviors of others. Some are feeling the heaviness of all that is going on around the world, a sense of overwhelm, anxiety, depression and hopelessness. Many are apprehensive about what the future holds. The future of the planet, their own future, their children and grandchildren’s future.

Throughout my life journey and coaching career, I have learned that in order for the world to become a better place, each individual must do their part to contribute to the health and well-being of the world and the collective. To do this, we must first take care of ourselves. We know our needs better than anyone, and are usually the best one to care for ourselves and not rely heavily on others. Yes, sometimes we need to be taken care of, ask for help and get feedback from others, but the majority of the time, we are the ones who must assess our needs, and take the necessary steps to create health, vibrancy and balance in our lives.

When we are full of health and joy, we show up better in the world. When people see you or interact with you verbally or nonverbally, they can usually sense your energy and the way you communicate with others and show up in the world says a lot about what’s going on inside of you. If our physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental bodies are nourished and balanced, and if we pay attention to and nourish all the areas of our life (social life, relationships, joy, creativity, finances, career, education, health, physical activity, spirituality, home cooking and home environment) we will shine a light out into the world that people will recognize. When we neglect our health and well-being, and surround ourselves with toxicity in any area of our life (toxic relationships, toxic foods, toxic cleaning products, toxic home environment, toxic financial situation, etc.) we will spread that toxicity out into the world. The foods we eat affect us on a cellular level, and contribute to the health or our cells, tissues and organs, so it’s important to pay attention to what we are putting on our plates and into our bodies. We also attract what we give. If we give kindness and love, we will attract kindness and love. If we give anger or hostility, that is what we will attract.

In order for the world to be a better, more positive, loving and hopeful place to live, we must each do our part in taking care of ourselves and create a ripple effect to improve the health and well-being of the world and the collective.

I love my job as a Health Coach because I help people become the best versions of themselves. In my seasonal self-care journeys, we individually assess 12 areas of our life to see where we may be out of balance, and do the work to bring those areas of our life more into balance. We nourish ourselves with seasonal foods and engage in self-care activities appropriate for the season to live more in alignment with nature. We have a group to support, encourage and accept us for who we are and where we are on our journey. By doing this work, we are able to not only feel and look better, but show up in the world as our best self. We do our part to grow the light inside of ourselves, so that we can give that light to the world and attract more light and goodness. At ki2motion, we help you unlock your potential. If we all do the self work to nourish our bodies, minds and spirits, just imagine how much different the world will feel.

If you would like to join us for the next seasonal journey to nourish your body, mind and spirit, and be part of a group that is working towards better health, wellness and balance, reserve your spot now for Self-Care Journey through Fall. We would love to have you in the group working alongside us to not only contribute to your individual health and well-being, but the health and well-being of the world and the collective. Together we can make the world a better a place and it starts with each of us.
